The short answer

Choose between resin and acrylic flatback references by the exact component specification and finished use. The backing profile, dimensions, weight, artwork and adhesive trial are more useful than assuming one material is always better.

Confirm what flatback means for your reference

A flatback charm is intended to present a decorative face with a backing suitable for mounting. The actual reverse side may still have molding marks, texture or a limited bonding area. Ask for the back and side views of the selected piece when attachment is important.

Our resin collection and acrylic collection help organize the shortlist. A broad category does not establish identical geometry, weight or performance across its designs.

What are the dimensions and thickness? Will it fit the case, kit or cavity?Measured sample and drawing if supplied
What does the reverse side look like?Is there enough area for mounting?Back-view photo

Request comparable shapes and sizes when evaluating alternatives. Comparing a small acrylic flower with a much larger resin miniature does not isolate the effect of material. Discuss the complete design rather than relying on a general price or weight assumption.

Separate an existing charm from a new design

For an existing style, identify the reference, quantity and preferred assortment. For a custom shape, send the drawing, target dimensions, artwork and intended attachment. Clarify whether you need an original mold, an adjusted color scheme or a curated mix of available pieces.

Agree development and tooling scope separately from packing. A proposal for custom labeling does not mean a new mold is included. Use your own artwork or artwork you are authorized to reproduce, and define any exclusivity in the project agreement.

Review the assembled product before the bulk order

Test the selected component with the actual adhesive and substrate. Inspect appearance, fit and attachment after the evaluation conditions agreed for the project. For resin embedding, make a separate casting trial; mounting a charm on a dry surface does not establish casting compatibility.

Qula Craft accepts OEM/ODM and assorted-pack enquiries for these decorative components. Send a short list of references with your finished-use brief, then approve the component and the packing together. Keep a retained sample for repeat-order comparisons.

Questions buyers ask

Is resin always better than acrylic for flatback charms?

No. Select the exact design, geometry, finish and mounting performance your project needs. Compare relevant samples rather than making a material-wide assumption.

Can a flatback charm be threaded like a bead?

Only if the selected piece has a suitable hole. A flatback description does not imply a threading hole.
