Patterned clay canes are prepared and cut into small decorative cross-sections, then collected for the specified batch or mix. Buyers should define the pattern, face dimensions, slice thickness, colours and pack format before sampling.
From patterned clay canes to small decorative slices
Polymer clay slices are thin decorative cross-sections cut from patterned canes. Depending on their design and size, buyers may describe them as clay slices, polymer clay sprinkles or decorative slices for slime and craft projects.
The Qula Craft photographs below show cane preparation, cutting and batch collection. They feature different patterns and batches; they are not a continuous record of one product. Heating or conditioning stages are not documented in this image set, so this guide does not prescribe a curing temperature or time.
1. Define the colours and prepare the patterned canes
The orange, green and white canes show how colour placement is arranged before slicing. For a custom pattern, share the intended cross-section artwork and target size, not only a general theme.
Very fine design details need sample review at the actual scale. Agree the design orientation, colour references and size before confirming production.

2. Prepare the cane lengths for the cutting stage
Pink canes are aligned beside longer strands in the second photograph. Consistent preparation helps define the batch presented to the cutting operation.
For a sourcing brief, distinguish the face dimensions of a slice from its thickness. Send both measurements in millimetres and discuss the acceptable variation for your intended use.

3. Cut the prepared patterns into decorative pieces
The red-and-white pattern photograph shows a worker guiding material at a cutting machine. The next image shows small slices moving from cutting equipment into collection bins.
Slice thickness affects appearance, handling and how a component moves in a finished craft project. Approve representative samples and the agreed dimensional range; do not assume that every pattern can be made at every size.

4. Collect the batch and define the finished assortment
The green slice photograph shows bulk collection beneath the cutting equipment. A finished order can be specified as one pattern or a coordinated mix, depending on the project.
Agree the colour assortment, component proportions, pack weight or count and any reference patterns that must remain unchanged. If a component is being sampled for liquid-filled or resin-cast products, test it in the actual formulation first.

Keep dimensional decorations separate from slice specifications
This additional photograph shows dimensional rainbow decorations being arranged on a tray. It is a separate decorative design reference, not evidence of the thin-slice cutting stage. A dimensional charm and a polymer clay slice need separate material, size, weight and application specifications.
If your project combines slices with larger focal decorations, send the two component lists separately so we can discuss a coordinated mix.

OEM/ODM options for polymer clay slice buyers
Qula Craft accepts custom pattern, colour, size, mix and packaging enquiries. An OEM brief starts with your artwork and specifications; an ODM brief starts with a concept that we develop into a proposed sample.
For very small slices, a printed or shaped product logo may not be practical. Share your branding idea so we can evaluate the design; logo labels and custom packaging provide a separate branding route. MOQ, sample cost, lead time and any development work are quoted against the brief.
Our private-label packaging guide explains what to specify for bags, jars, boxes and assorted packs.
Prepare a wholesale or custom slice enquiry
Qula Craft welcomes OEM/ODM and wholesale enquiries from Europe, the United States, Australia, South America and other markets. Describe the product you want to launch and the market where it will be sold.
- Design: reference SKU, sketch or artwork; dimensions in millimetres; colours and finish.
- Order: estimated quantity, whether measured by weight or piece count, and your required timing.
- Packaging: bulk or retail format, pack weight or count, label language and logo artwork.
- Application: slime decoration, a craft kit, decoden, shaker or another finished project, plus the intended age group.
- Destination: country and delivery location, with any product documentation requested by your buyer.
For Brazil or other South American destinations, include the required Portuguese or Spanish label text in the packaging brief. The final wording and destination requirements should be confirmed before printing.
Use our custom enquiry form or read the OEM/ODM service overview. Sending a brief starts a quotation discussion; it does not place an order.
Review a sample before approving the bulk order
Check the pattern definition, colour, face dimensions, thickness, mix composition and packaging. Test the sample in your intended slime base, shaker cavity, adhesive, resin or liquid system as applicable.
Factory photographs show the working process; they do not establish non-toxicity, toy compliance or universal compatibility. Request relevant product-specific documentation for your destination and intended use through our sample and approval process.
Questions buyers ask
Can you develop a custom polymer clay slice pattern?
Yes. Send cross-section artwork, the target size and colour references. Fine details and manufacturing feasibility are reviewed through the sample process.
What measurements should I provide?
Provide the face width or diameter and the slice thickness in millimetres. For an irregular shape, include a drawing with both width and height.
Can slices be mixed with resin charms or sequins?
We accept themed mix enquiries combining selected components. Define each component, its size and the ratio by weight or count; then approve the mixed sample.
Are these slices suitable for every slime or snow globe liquid?
Suitability depends on the exact component and formulation. Evaluate a sample in your intended system and confirm relevant requirements before bulk approval.
Discuss your custom project
Send your references, quantity, intended use, packing brief and destination. We will use those details to discuss a sample and quotation.
